Gladys Mendoza, MHA

Gladys Mendoza, MHA, is the Director for Special Initiatives in the Office of the President.  Ms. Mendoza is responsible for board relations, donor initiatives, and incubating Alliance program initiatives. She is the Project Director of “Mi Hermana— Latina Health Champions,” with sites in Chicago, El Paso, Los Angeles, Miami, and San Diego.  She has been with the Alliance 12 years and has overseen programmatic and financial operations of several multi-state initiatives. As a Certified Application Counselor she has provided counseling in Spanish and English to over 500 persons during the first two ACA open enrollment periods. Further she has coordinated media support of Alliance information campaigns during both open enrollment periods.  Ms. Mendoza was the Project Director for “Diabetes Se Puede Controlar— Community Health Champions,” with sites in Los Angeles and New York.

Ms. Mendoza received her Master's in Health Care Administration from the University of Maryland.
